AI Engineering Intern
EngineeringRemote (United States)Fall 2026Help build and extend the deterministic financial automation platform that powers FinAdvantage. Work alongside senior engineers on the workflow engine, integrating new document processing and reconciliation workflows into the platform we are building for accounting professionals.
What You Will Do
- Assist in building and extending the workflow engine using FastAPI and LangGraph
- Integrate new document processing workflows including OCR and structured data extraction
- Work with the reconciliation engine to improve matching across different file formats
- Participate in code reviews and learn production-grade development practices
- Contribute to testing and documentation for new features
What We Are Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field
- Familiarity with Python and interest in AI or machine learning applications
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and web services
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with financial accounting concepts
- Exposure to pandas, NumPy, or other data processing libraries
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Workflow Systems Intern
ProductRemote (United States)Fall 2026Design and build the visual pipeline workflows that power accounting automation at FinAdvantage. Work with our pipeline builder to compose deterministic execution graphs, configure tool nodes, and extend the executor that ties everything together.
What You Will Do
- Design and configure pipeline workflows for accounting automation use cases
- Work with the visual pipeline builder to compose deterministic execution graphs
- Configure and extend the tool registry and pipeline executor
- Analyze workflow performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability
- Document workflow configurations and contribute to knowledge base articles
What We Are Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field
- Interest in workflow automation, accounting technology, or process automation
- Basic understanding of Python programming
- Strong analytical skills and ability to think in terms of processes and systems
- Good communication skills for documenting workflows
Nice to Have
- Coursework or projects involving workflow or process automation
- Understanding of accounting or finance fundamentals
- Experience with graph-based data structures and traversal
- Familiarity with SQL and data processing
